Nestled between St Andrews Beach and Rye, this getaway destination with world class golf courses and wellness destinations, Fingal has become one of the Mornington Peninsula’s most admired locations for outdoor adventure.
Ranked Australia’s fifth best Public Access Course by Golf Australia Magazine, St Andrews Beach Golf Course leads the way with its superb playing grounds and panoramic vistas. The globally recognised Peninsula Hot Springs has become a celebrated destination of rejuvenation and renewal. In 2022, Fingal will see the opening of Alba Thermal Springs and Spa, a new relaxation sanctuary also set amongst the thriving bushland of the region.
Walks around this part of the region are scenic and picturesque, with tracks arriving at views of basalt cliffs and beaches. The Fingal Picnic Area, positioned two kilometres north of Cape Schanck, forms part of the Mornington Peninsula National Park and links to the walking tracks. Gunnamatta Beach presents a 3km stretch of rugged coastline magnificence, with strong winds and waves creating the best surf breaks on the Mornington Peninsula.
Equally distanced between the Port Phillip and Western Port coastlines and close to the inner hinterland of the Mornington Peninsula, the town of Fingal is in prime position. It is secluded enough for serenity but still close to locations which host annual events.
Fingal is approximately a 1 hour and 30 minute drive (93 kilometres) south of Melbourne.
