Mothers Beach

Mother's Beach is located in Mornington just near Schnapper Point where the Mornington Pier is located.  Concrete ramps lead down to the beach with beach matting provided to get you to the water.  The foreshore has expansive sand, and because of position of the beach to the pier the water here is generally always flat and calm.

In addition to the a cafe and the Mornington Pier being nearby, the Mornington Yacht Club is also at this site.  A program called Sailabiility is run by the Yacht Club and the program welcomes people of all abilities to participate in the fun of getting out on the bay.  There are facilities for people in wheelchairs to be hoisted on to the boats.

Mount Martha Beach

One the region's most popular beaches, located in the heart of Mt Martha.  This popular local beach offers a lot in the way of accessibility.  As one of the patrolled beaches on the Mornington Peninsula they not only have beach matting but also two mobi chairs that can be used from the Mt Martha Lifesaving Club, on weekends.

The beach here is long and the sand very soft, so the all terrain wheelchairs are a welcome addition.  The access near the Lifesaving Club is fairly flat across the gravel carpark which leads you down near the matting.
