Recognised on a global scale, numerous breweries of the Mornington Peninsula have been awarded gold, silver and bronze accolades at the 2022 Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA).
As the largest annual beer competition in the world, AIBA works in highlighting brewing excellence in both Australia and internationally, awarding exceptional beers between various categories.
Both draught and packaged beer go in the running for recognition, with around 2,500 entries received in the year 2021 from 21 countries.
Judges for this year’s installment ranged from brewers to beer writers and retailers.
Taking home five gold medals for their unique brews was Dainton Beer in Carrum Downs, whilst TWØBAYS Brewing in Dromana received two gold for their much-loved gluten free creations.
Also achieving top recognition were Jetty Road Brewery (Dromana) and Red Hill Brewery with one gold medal each.
St Andrews Beach Brewery in Fingal took home two silver and Escape Brewing in Capel Sound made a splash for their first AIBA appearance, with two bronze medals in the bag.
