Buckle up for a day of family fun

The family road trip is an excellent adventure at any age. The Mornington Peninsula is a perfect location to pack the kids (and maybe even the grandparents) in the car to head out for a day full of good old fashion family fun.

Here is just one of the many family days out that is perfect for all ages.

On this journey, we recommend driving down the coastal road and then driving the Arthurs Seat Road. One of the most picturesque drives in our region, it will give you ample opportunity to play a classic game of eye-spy. It wouldn't be a road trip without it.

Arthurs Seat Eagle

Soar high above the Mornington Peninsula and take in the most breath-taking views of our coastline. Arthurs Seat Eagle is the perfect place for all members of your family, with the gondolas able to accommodate prams and wheelchairs.

T'Gallant Winery

If you would love to experience a winery on a family day out, T’Gallant Winery is a perfect choice. There is something for everyone with their family-friendly Roman wood-fire pizzas and classic provincial-style menu. Best of all, they are just a short drive from Arthurs Seat Eagle.

Rocky Creek

Just across the road from T’Gallant Winery is Rocky Creek strawberry farm. Play farmer for a while and pick your own strawberries (U-Pick November to April) to enjoy at home before tasting their dessert menu which is definitely a must during any visit.

Safety Beach

The final stop for your family fun day is Safety Beach—perfect in any season. Depending on the time of year, you can take a dip in the sea, take a leisurely beach walk, get up close to the colourful beach boxes the region has been famed for, or collect seashells along the shoreline.
