Leading Mornington Peninsula tourism businesses secure State Government grants to drive future investment.

Three leading Mornington Peninsula tourism businesses have secured State Government grant support to drive further investment and innovation in our region’s largest economic sector.

Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism has strongly welcomed the funding commitments unveiled by Victorian Tourism Minister Steve Dimopoulos MP via the Enabling Tourism Fund.

The Victorian Government’s direct-to-tourism business funding partnerships enable regional tourism enterprises to support advanced project proposals and achieve investment readiness.

The Mornington Peninsula is thrilled to be included in this transformative state-wide grant Program. Key Mornington Peninsula projects that secured funding included:
• The Green Olive at Red Hill – Green Olive Retreat
• Peninsula Hot Springs – Fingal - Hospitality and Accommodation Expansion
• The Ranch Mornington Peninsula – Boneo – World Class Action Sports Facility

MPRT Chief Executive Angela Cleland said the Mornington Peninsula, which receives the most visitors of any Victorian region, had a clear strategic focus towards continued improvement and enhancement of revitalised visitor products. Ms Cleland said such grant programs incentivize investment and activities that continue to disperse both day trip travellers and longer-stay visitors further across the Peninsula, creating more jobs and supporting local communities.

“These valuable funds will support feasibility studies and future infrastructure design to ensure these iconic local attractions best meet growing visitor demands and improve experiences.”

"The Mornington Peninsula is experiencing a surge in tourism innovation. We are delighted to see these further significant investments in tourism in our region. The projects supported by the Enabling Tourism Fund will enhance our future tourism offerings from these experienced local operators. We look forward to seeing these innovative plans come to life and welcome visitors to
experience the best of the Mornington Peninsula.”

Please visit the Victorian Government's website for more information on the Enabling Tourism Fund and the projects it supports.
