Art lovers - immerse yourself in the ‘Sublime Sea: Rapture and Reality’ exhibition at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery.  The exhibition evokes the vast experience of nature, the power of the sea and human imagination through superb examples of painting, sculpture, photography, film and the decorative arts. In the quiet cool of the gallery space, discover your sense of wonder as you meander through the sublime and carefully curated ‘cabinet of curiosities’. Be transported as you encounter a giant polar bear, reminding us of what wilderness means. Be transformed by the enchantment of the grotto, a place of untouched mysteries.  Curious? The exhibition runs until 23 February.

Feeling daring? A little sweet, a little sour, a little salty? Blueberry Gose is the latest beer part of the Jetty Road Brewery family and it struts all qualities. Described as a sea spray on a summer day, fruit salad at your BBQ and the streak under your backyard sprinkler, this curious combination of iconic Australian flavours is balanced superbly for the beer connoisseur questing, for the newest sip sensation. Look out for the Pineapple Fritter Sour beer due to be released soon. 

Encounter the wonderous underwater curiosities that lie beneath the calm waters of Port Phillip to the back beaches of Bass Strait. Snorkel with weedy sea dragons, marvel at the marine life from your stand-up-paddle board or kayak with the dolphin sanctuary with Bayplay.  Experience the marine park at Pope’s Eye and the beautiful bird life at Mud Island and historic South Channel Fort, places you can only access by boat with a licenced tour operator.

Keen to explore the road less travelled?  Little-known Endeavour Fern Gully is a precious National Trust remnant of virgin rainforest. Amongst the lush green, you will be transported to a peaceful, secluded sanctuary in the heart of Red Hill.  Seeking a curious glimpse of our majestic local kangaroos, Greens Bush gives you the perfect space to see them gambolling in the grassy expanses. Take a walk down the spectacular boardwalk of Cape Schanck to the rocky beach to see the ancient formation of Pulpit Rock.
