At the recent award ceremony for the prestigious 2019 Australian Food Awards, Damien Noxon of Main Ridge Diary was presented with the trophy for ‘Champion Australian Medium Producer/Manufacturer’. This highly respected award is the results of achieving 9 out of 9 medals for their entries – including 7 gold, along with an impressive ‘Consistency of Excellence Medal’ for their Marinated Chevre – for winning gold for three years running.
The Australian Food Awards presents producers large and small with the chance to benchmark their products and establish credentials in the Australian premium food industry.
Award-winning products from the Australian Food Awards will receive gold, silver & bronze medals which are a national brand seal of quality. The Australian Food Awards sees the presentation of champion trophies to the best product in each category and culminates in the presentation of Champion Australian Food Product.
“This trophy is awarded purely on Damien’s cheese and it is wonderful for him to be rewarded for his many years of hard work developing and perfecting his recipes”, said Bess Noxon, Damien’s wife and co-owner of Main Ridge Dairy. “We were surprised and a bit shocked when Main Ridge Dairy was announced as a nomination for Champion Australian Medium Producer - but to win it was very special. As you can tell I’m a bit proud of my boy!”
