Combining world-class industry professionals with sought-after wellness experiences, Awaken at Peninsula Hot Springs represents Australia’s first Hot Springs wellness gathering. On the last Sunday in March, music, yoga, workshops, bathing and more will combine in a fusion of wellness celebration and immersion.
This first-of-its-kind event awakens, Amanda suggests top things to do as part of a wellness weekend away on the Mornington Peninsula:
- Shop at Torello Farm
Spot the vibrant yellow umbrellas, wander inside the Dromana-based farmgate and pack a basket of fresh and local produce. This family-owned and run business offers everything from heirloom vegetables to gourmet homemade preserves. Shop from the source and meet the passionate locals who grow and gather quality Mornington Peninsula produce.
- Local Market Visit
Mornington Peninsula markets are where local creators, makers, farmers and producers come together to deliver a colourful and delicious day of exploring. Numerous regional markets are held on weekends, including the foodie-focused Red Hill Community Market and the year-round Mornington Racecourse Market.
- Bushrangers Bay
Follow the nearby walking tracks, explore the rock pools and fall in love with a rugged yet scenic coastal setting. Incorporating a sandy beach encircled by basalt cliffs, Bushrangers Bay is a treasure trove well worth discovering and exploring.
- Afternoon Wine at Kerri Greens
In Red Hill South, Kerri Greens offers relaxed cellar door tastings with the option to BYO picnics. Panoramic valley vistas set an idyllic backdrop for an afternoon wine with friends and various events throughout the year. In 2023, Kerri Greens will be celebrating ten years of operation.
- Sunset Bike Ride at Dromana Foreshore
Take in the sunset glow with a ride along the Mornington Peninsula’s Bay Trail. Stop for a photo opportunity (or two) of the natural spectacle along the way. This 30km trail begins at Safety Beach and ends in Portsea. Dromana Foreshore is a picturesque coastal setting with sandy white beaches, colourful beach boxes and crystal clear bay waters.
