The Wait Is (Nearly) Over! Pt. Leo Estate To Reopen Their Two Restaurants In Summer

In exciting culinary news, Pt. Leo Estate is set to reopen their two revered dining spaces, Laura and the Pt. Leo Restaurant, from mid-December this year.

The much-anticipated relaunch comes after a fire damaged the premises in late May, resulting in the closure of the two restaurants for more than six months.

Positioned alongside panoramic views of the site’s vineyard, Sculpture Park and Western Port waters, these two offerings have established a notable reputation for fine food, wine and produce as well as exceptional service on the Mornington Peninsula.

Inspired by the cast iron sculpture outside of the same name, Laura offers a welcoming fine dining experience rich in quality degustation flavours, with a curated wine list to accompany.

Meanwhile, the Pt. Leo Restaurant represents the culinary heart of the Merricks-based destination, with a showcase of both seasonal and regional flavours as part of a contemporary a-la-carte offering.

Led by Pt. Leo Estate’s Culinary Director Josep Espuga, the menus for the two dining experiences are currently being finalised.

“The main focus on both menus will be the produce we use and the people behind it. More than ever, we are working closely with the farmers and producers from the Mornington Peninsula with which we have fostered and established strong relationships to compliment the best of ingredients throughout Australia and abroad,” Josep said.

In what has been a challenging six months, the team at Pt. Leo Estate has curated and delivered the Pt. Leo Pavilion pop-up dining experience.

The Pavilion will continue to serve guests up until the reopening of the Estate’s core venues in December.

From General Manager Roger Lancia, the Pt. Leo Estate team is excited and enthused to welcome visitors back.

“There is nowhere in Australia you can find such spectacular art, food and wine with such a stunning backdrop; and delivered by such a magnificent team of hospitality professionals,” he said.
