Somers to Sandy Point Walk

Down more than 100 wooden steps to the Somers Beach, and head east towards Sandy Point along the beach. This is an incredibly peaceful walk on the long, quiet stretch of beach between the western end of the Somers Beach. Along the way there are picturesque views to Phillip Island, Cowes and across Western Port. This stretch of beach is dog friendly (refer to signs for conditions). The far end of the beach links in to the HMAS Cerebus Naval Base and is off limits. Whilst walking on the beach be aware of incoming tides and surging waves. Swimming is not advised as the strong currents can be dangerous.
