Wine + Wineries

Wine just doesn’t get any better than this

Explore Mornington Peninsula wine at cellar doors and restaurants.

Mornington Peninsula wineries are some of the most celebrated in Australia. The region has gained a strong reputation for the cool climate wines of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, all with a true sense of place. A number of cellar doors also have restaurants to make for a superb wine and dining experience.

Avani Wines

Avani is a family owned vineyard, winery and restaurant specialising in premium cool-climate wines, grown and produced on the Mornington Peninsula.

Avani's viticulture and winemaking - led by Shashi and her son Rohit - strictly follows natural farming practices to promote fertile soil health and vineyard balance. A minimal-intervention vinification process follows, ensuring the wines authentically reflect their respective vineyard sites and growing seasons.

The Cellar Kitchen - led by Shashi's daughter, Retu - provides an Indian inspired share style menu overlooking the rolling estate vineyard. Drop in for a glass of wine and a couple of snacks or stay for a leisurely long lunch - the team would love to see you!

The cellar door and kitchen are open for wine tastings, drinks, snacks and lunch every Friday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

Extended holiday hours: Open every day between 26 December to 5 January from 10am to 5pm.

Featured in 2022 as Gourmet Traveller's Best Small Cellar Door for Mornington.
