Wine just doesn’t get any better than this

Explore Mornington Peninsula wine at cellar doors and restaurants.

Mornington Peninsula wineries are some of the most celebrated in Australia. The region has gained a strong reputation for the cool climate wines of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, all with a true sense of place. A number of cellar doors also have restaurants to make for a superb wine and dining experience.

Hickinbotham of Dromana

Hickinbotham of Dromana was established as a winery in 1988. The HIX brewery was established in 2008 and has internationally acclaimed beers on tap at the Cellar Door.

Hickinbotham is known for award-winning wines such as Tempranillo, Chardonnay, Aligote, Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot, Shiraz and Strawberry Kiss.

Hickinbotham is a very famous name in Australian winemaking and Andrew Hickinbotham is the third generation to make an impact in the winemaking world.

Beers are made by son Jake with a great array of styles including pilsener, pale ale, brown ale, Irish stout, double choc porter, a lovely summer ale and occasional seasonal beers. The list includes a ruby cider made from Ruby Cabernet and served on tap.

The Hickinbotham of Dromana cellar door is rustic, quirky and thoroughly inviting with live music and a raging open fire. Quality fresh food made from local ingredients, great wines and beers and an amazing outlook over the vineyard makes it easy to stay for a while. The restaurant can cater for birthdays, weddings, conferences or functions.

Hickinbotham is a pet friendly venue but pets must remain on leash, as sheep and alpaca roam the paddocks.
