Le Capucin

The pretty blue French café Le Capucin in Portsea is always a local and visitor favourite. The hospitality of fine coffee and croissants will have you revisiting. All food is made onsite from fresh local ingredients, so call in for a coffee or sit on the terrace and enjoy a French-inspired breakfast.

The best news is that they have also expanded into a pop-up a few doors down this year. 

Georgie Bass Café

Perched at the end of the main street in Flinders is Georgie Bass Café. Open for breakfast and lunch with a menu of your usual favourites of scrambled eggs and smashed Avo on toast. With indoor and outdoor seating, this family-friendly and pet-friendly (outdoors) will have you starting the day right before you begin exploring.

Blue Mini

The rustic former bowling alley, converted into a café and emporium of local delights, is a hidden gem in the back of Rosebud. Serving an all-day brunch menu from Buttermilk Pancakes to Sicilian Style Gnocchi – Blue Mini is where you can eat, drink, and take home some locally grown and made goods.

Apple Espresso

As part of the Tully’s Corner precinct, you will find Apple Espresso with a takeaway window for those in a hurry and inside and outside dining options for those who want to stop for a while. Breakfast is served until 11.15 am with all the usual egg-inspired meals until the lunch menu of burgers, kofte, and salads takes over. With an onsite farm gate of fresh flowers and produce, this is one destination where you can take advantage of the Mornington Peninsula.

Award-winning Café by Tracy and Ross Fleming Elements Eatery is part of the Yawa complex. Known for their sustainable and health-inspired options, They offer an all-day menu, which means you have time to take a dip and swim some laps before you settle in for a brunch on your favourite brekkie dish.

The Somers General

This hidden gem is as cute as a button and a find once you know where it is. You will find The Somers General in Somers, just across the road from the beach. This menu is all day, and you can enjoy eggs on sourdough or heirloom tomato bruschetta and full-flavoured coffee and specialty teas. In addition to the indoor and outdoor dining is the provisions and wares corner where you can shop small and local to take home with you!
