The Best Beaches For Summer Family Fun

Summer days on Mornington Peninsula beaches offer escape and relaxation. Think crunching hot sand between your toes, cool relief in the salty blue water, frisbee competitions or taking the time to read under the shade of a rainbow umbrella. The Mornington Peninsula has such a wide range of beaches on offer; finding a favourite is a tough decision! Here are 4 to check out this summer season with all the family:

Mills Beach

Mills Beach in Mornington is a picturesque stretch of golden sand dotted with iconic and colourful beach boxes. The shallow water here makes it ideal for swimming and a favourite for young families and paddle boarders. Home to the Mornington Life Saving Club, Mills Beach is a patrolled beach. It is a popular location to spend a summer day out with toilets, change rooms, a kiosk, picnic tables, and free parking nearby. Additionally, Mornington Life Saving Club also has MobiChair use available on patrolled days, making Mills Beach one of our most accessible beaches.

Mount Martha Beach

Mount Martha Beach is home to some of the most beautiful bathing boxes on the Mornington Peninsula. The Mount Martha Life Saving Club patrols at the southern beach's northern end with the yacht club. A popular beach for bathers and boaters, Mount Martha Beach is only a short stroll to the local village for plenty of cafes or ice cream. The Life Saving Club also has two MobiChairs and beach matting for accessibility available on patrolled days.
