Joe Chindamo: piano, Zoë Black: violin

Individually, Violinist Zoë Black and Pianist/Composer Joe Chindamo have forged exceptional careers. Together they are formidable. The duo has performed at all the major festivals in Australia and recorded three ARIA nominated CDs.

Frequently described as edgy and a welcome new and unique voice to Australian Chamber music, their music is informed by the rigour of classical music and excitement and urbanity of jazz.

The pair are regarded as a unique and refreshing force in contemporary chamber music, having recorded three albums; two of them receiving ARIA nominations for best classical release.

In 2015, Chindamo and Black performed the former’s re-versioning of Bach’s Goldberg Variations at Carnegie Hall to great acclaim.

A passionate teacher and tutor, Zoë has taught and tutored at Melbourne University, VCA, VCASS and Monash University.
