A Winemaker’s Journey:

Head winemaker Chris Strickland is your host at this lunch, exploring the wines that inspire him and show how he has brought his personal stamp to the Foxeys range.

A two-time national Young Gun of Wine finalist in both winemaking and viticulture, Chris began at Foxeys in his uni days. A summer working in the kitchen with Tony, then working in the winery through the autumn of 2009, spurred him to switch his science and education studies to a degree in winemaking. After 15 years of experiencing the trials (and maybe the joys?) of working closely with Tony Lee, Chris has more than a few stories up his sleeve.

Chris has been central to Foxeys’ sustainability push and conversion to full biodynamic certification in three key vineyards. Since stepping up to the role of head winemaker, Foxeys wines released under his name have continued to win critical accolades.

This relaxed get-together will start at midday, finish around 2:30pm, and $80 per person includes your lunch and drinks.
