Hops & Hoppers returns for 2025.

There will be everything you know and love from our beer & street food series in the Many Little courtyard - good food, drinks and tunes in an open air street food market style event.

In addition to hoppers and curries, this year each month’s event will be anchored by a unique festivity or region. We are so excited about the opportunity to explore more of Sri Lanka by its regional and cultural specialties.

As always it will be a relaxed and inviting vibe cosy under festoon lighting in the courtyard. On cooler nights we’ll light the fires, and heat things up with fragrant cooking smoke, fun DJ vibes, and a lively party atmosphere.

Friday 4th April - Sri Lankan New Year

April welcomes ‘Aluth Avurudda’ the traditional New Year of the Sinhalese people and Tamil population of Sri Lanka. It celebrates the end of the harvest season and marks the passage of the sun from the constellation Pisces to Aries. For April’s event we’ll be mixing up the format a little with a plentiful New Year’s Feast. While this will still be in a relaxed open-air format in the courtyard, the set price of $40 grants you a refillable plate for a plentiful feast laden with curries, vegetables, rices and condiments alongside the hopper pans firing. A children’s option will be available and those just wanting a snack are welcome to order off the bar menu.

At 4.30pm we will hold a couple of traditional Avurudda (New Year’s) party games for the kids - twists on recognisable party games such as ‘Place the eye on the elephant’ and a lime and spoon race (before food begins at 5pm).

We are also thrilled to be joined by Dutch Rules Distilling Co who will be showcasing their new Ceylon Gin, in cocktails mixed by the Many Little bar team. And of course as usual we’ll have beer and wine on ice!
